I'm sure you've heard the expression "back in my day". Have you ever given it any thought? What does that even mean?
Just thinking about the meaning behind it is depressing. It's like they've already given up, their life is past now (at least the good years). They've just settled in and are waiting for the inevitable.
Give this some thought: The 3 current presidential candidates are 74 years old, 68 years old and 70 years old respectively. What if they said "back in my day" and just sat back, waited and watched while the world went on without them? They're living. They're making an impact...TODAY.
Were you only full of life when you were in your teens, 20's, 30's? Why isn't today your day? You're here aren't you? You're alive TODAY. So live it now. You have a wealth of experience and knowledge that is useful. Today YOU can make a change. You have a voice. A voice filled with experience and knowledge.
You have a body. Make it the best, healthiest body you can today so that you can continue to live a happy, full, active life.
Today is my day. I'm not done yet. I've only just begun. And I'm certainly not ready to give it all up now. I sure hope my past wasn't "my day". How depressing.
Make today your day. Be heard. Be active. Be filled with life, love and energy today.
